Chippewa County, Wisconsin: Local activities & entertainment
Chippewa County, WI welcomes you to explore our county during the cooler months! When the temperatures drop in Chippewa County, this means the fun is just beginning.
The fall colors are a must-see in the County. Drive through our quiet highways to get a glimpse of the vibrant leaves as they change to orange, yellow, and red. One of our favorite parts of Fall is heading to our local apple orchards to pick fresh apples, pumpkins, pears, and more! We just wish you good luck trying to find you way out of the corn mazes. After apple picking, we highly recommend grabbing a glass of wine at one of our local wineries. Their fall-themed wines are stunning for the taste buds!
Temperatures continue to drop, and we are officially in the Winter months. As our hundreds of waterways freeze over, new adventures surface. Get out your lager, crack a beer, and cast your line into Lake Wissota for a bit of ice fishing. Strap on your snowshoes or cross-country skis to explore the miles of snow-covered trails winding through the county. We recommend visiting during December to walk through the dazzling light show at Irvine Park & Zoo. The chilly weather doesn’t stop the adventures in Chippewa County, trust us, you will have a long bucket list when you visit!
After a day of adventures, warm up at one of our local restaurants or breweries! The mouth-watering food, and handcrafted drinks will take any chill away from the air.
