With original records written in Czech dated October 22, 1905, this cemetery nestles in the heart of the Bohemian farm settlement ¼ mile north of their Fraternal Hall on Highway 27. The 33 families who cleared the land and plotted it into 10′ x 20′ lots drew numbers to determine their burial plots.
A double-paged ledger documents each gravesite with many pioneer names continuing today. Each year, memorial services are held to honor and preserve the unique and precious Czech heritage as they contributed and blended into the American culture.
