Otter Lake County Park is one of Chippewa County’s peaceful Northwoods camping destinations, located near Stanley on the shores of Otter Lake. Camp among the trees, fish for walleye, bass, and panfish, or enjoy swimming, boating, and picnicking along the scenic shoreline. The lake is considered one of the area’s top fishing spots, while the park’s quiet atmosphere makes it ideal for both family trips and laid-back weekends. - Access:
The park is located about 7.5 miles north of Stanley off County Highway H, then west on 165th Avenue. It features 22 campsites with 20-, 30-, and 50-amp electric hookups, along with a boat launch, playground, fish cleaning house, and a separate day-use area for visitors. - Good to know:
Amenities include a swimming beach, picnic shelters, restrooms, and a newer bathroom and shower house. Firewood is available on-site, and while there is a fill station, there is no sanitary dump—campers can use the dump station at Chapman Park in Stanley. This is the only county campground with a designated day park area, offering added space for both campers and day visitors.
