Morris-Erickson County Park is named after two of our founding Chippewa County Board members. Arnt Erickson and John Morris were integral in our Town, County, and State governments in the early 1900’s and were passionate about outdoor recreation. Is it because of their service that the County is able to offer many of the outdoor opportunities provided to the public today.
Morris-Erickson Campground and Day Park is located on the pristine waters of Long Lake – so clear that scuba diving is a taught on this lake! The park is located 3.5 miles northeast of the intersection of County Highway M and State Highway 40. Watch for our welcome sign on State Highway 40. The boat launch is for campground guests, day park users, and the public. Please remember, ATV’s are prohibited on State Highway 40 and in the park itself.
Morris-Erickson County Park offers 28 campsites for tents, trailers, RVs, and campers. They have flush toilets, an on-site dump station, and electric hookups. There is boat launch access to Long Lake.
