Chippewa County is filled with events to connect with our fantastic community. Check out some key events below!
- Trivia: There is weekly trivia at the Sandbar and Grill on Tuesdays or the West Hill Bar and Grill on Wednesdays.
- Shamrock Shuffle: March 8th is the Shamrock Shuffle 5k that takes you down the beautiful Chippewa Valley River trail.
- Leinie Lodge’s St Patty’s Day Party: March 15th the Leinie Lodge is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with green beer and gifts for all who attend!
- Karaoke: Heartbreakers Bar & Grill has karaoke every Friday night for you to party hard to.
You can also head to the Heyde Center for the Arts to see one of the countless stunning performances happening in our community. Whether you want dances, music, or comedy, you’ll find the ideal show to spend your time. You won’t be disappointed, so check out what is happening this month:

Bike Through Our Many Trails
For all you biking enthusiasts out there, we have plenty of places for you to explore the outdoors. The Old Abe State Trail is a great spot to get your fix, with paved trails stretching from Chippewa Falls to Cornell. For an off-road biking fan, you can’t go wrong with Area 178, with trails of varying difficulty for you to explore. It also lets you stop by the Xcel Energy Dam, where there lies a beautiful field of rocks and small streams to relax at. Also be sure to visit Hickory Ridge Recreation Area for some scenic mountain biking through the forest!
If you didn’t bring a bike to Chippewa County, don’t fret! Spring Street Sports rents out bikes so you don’t have to miss out on the action.

Tour the Leinie Lodge
It wouldn’t be a trip to Chippewa without touring our famous Leinenkugel’s brewery. It’s filled with historical photos and information that you’re sure to find interesting. Not to mention it’s an easy excuse to grab a drink. They offer multiple different kinds of tours based on what you want to check out, so click the button below to see what you want to book!
Play a Game of Disc Golf
Chippewa County is full of courses that are guaranteed to excite new or experienced disc golf players. The Lafayette Disc Golf Course is sure to be a challenge, but the stunning trails you get to explore should keep you having a wonderful time. If you want an even more difficult course, the Leinenkugel’s Course in Casper Park is another great choice, with 5,765 yards of distance for you to clear.
With Mahr’s Meadow in Stanley and another exciting course in Cadott, you’ll be sure to find what you need wherever you are in Chippewa County.

Grab a Bite at Market on River
When you spend your spring break doing all the fun activities Chippewa has to offer, you’ll need to grab some food to recharge. Stop by Market on River for a vast assortment of vendors to choose from. With Valley Burger, JimBob’s Pizza, TemptAsians, and more, you’ll surely find a meal that will hit the spot.
Every Sunday from 8 am to 1 pm is Sundays at MOR, which will have some amazing vendors set up just for the day that you can peruse and shop from! You can also stop by March 15 for the Saturday Market that runs from 10 am to 3 pm.
