End of Summer Bucket List
August may be close to ending, but that doesn’t mean Summer is officially over! Here is your official Chippewa County, WI end of Summer bucket list:
1. Bike the Old Abe State Trail
Old Abe State Trail is composed of miles of paved trail that takes you from the trailhead near Lake Wissota, North to Cornell. This journey will take you through the beautiful Northwoods forests, idyllic downtowns, and over the rolling hills that make up Chippewa County. After you arrive in Cornell, stop to refuel at Dylan’s Dairy. With a full bar, ice cream, and a food menu, your stomach will thank you for the stop!

2. Dine Outdoors
One of the finest moments of Summer in Wisconsin is when you can enjoy a cocktail and a meal outdoors. Sure, you could eat outside in the Wintertime, but it might not be as enjoyable. Whether you are looking for a classic Wisconsin Supper Club experience, or a fish fry overlooking Lake Wissota, we have you covered. With the small town Wisconsin hospitality, the incredible vibes of patio dining, and the mouth-watering food, this will be a core memory for sure!

3. Visit the Local Wineries
One of the most main character moments might just be sitting on the patio of a local winery, sipping a flight, and listening to live music. Lucky for you, Chippewa County is proudly home to wineries that craft (no, we’re not exaggerating) the PERFECT wine. Plus, they have food trucks, live music, and patio seating. Honestly, the perfect combination for a perfect Summer day. Cheers!

4. Explore Irvine Park
One of the local favorites, Irvine Park is a 300+ acre park with serene views. There is a lot to explore in this park because there is a LOT inside the park. Walking the paved and unpaved trails leads walkers to historical building, bandshells, picnic areas, and through the free zoo. Keep your eyes open for the cave where beer was once stored!
