If you haven’t explored all the fun in and around Lake Wissota, it’s time! Whether you like water sports, hiking, biking, or relaxing, Chippewa Falls has it all!
Not wanting to dip your toes just yet? There are more than 18 miles of hiking trails, over 11 miles of bike trails, access to Old Abe State Trail, which is over 20 miles of trail, and 7 miles of horseback riding trails. Bikes can be rented at Spring Street Sports.
After endless hiking and biking fun, you can cool off at Ray’s Beach or use the energy you have left to go canoeing, kayaking, or boating. If you don’t have the equipment, don’t pout we have you covered! There are many rental places close by. Canoes, kayaks, and rowboats can be rented right at Lake Wissota State Park or you can make your way to Lake Wissota Retreat for kayaks and paddle boats. Loopy’s Tube & Canoe Rentals not only offers canoes and tubes but kayaks as well. Sandbar and Grill will provide you with canoes and kayaks. You can also rent a pontoon or fishing boat at the Wissota Lodge & Conference Center or The Edge Pub & Eatery.
After a long day, feast at one of the many restaurants near or along Lake Wissota. Park your boat at The Edge Pub & Eatery, The View, or Wissota High Shores Supper Club. Dine-in at or Connell’s Supper Club for mouth-watering entrees and great company. There are so many options!
It’s hard to fit all of these activities into a one-day trip, so if overnight accommodations are in your plans we have multiple options on the water. Check them out!
