Chippewa Ice Fishing Competitions
What’s better than ice fishing? Winning prizes for ice fishing!! February is full of Chippewa ice fishing competitions from the southern part of the county to the north. All hosted by local Lions’ Clubs, these ice fishing competitions are an awesome way to get out into the county and enjoy the beautiful winter weather. The cherry on top is that you could win cash prizes and even a lease of a truck! Here’s the upcoming competitions:
Jig’s Up
The 10th Annual Jig’s Up is brought to us by UWEC Recreation, Blugold Athletics, and the Lake Wissota Lions. With over $80,000 in cash and prizes (including a 2-year lease on a Ford F-150 truck!!!!). The competition is happening on Saturday, February 11 from 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This is an awesome way to get outdoors, enjoy a beautiful winter day on Lake Wissota, and get some fishing in!

Cadott Lions Ice Fishing Contest
The ice fishing fun continues on Sunday, February 12 at Pike Lake hosted by the Cadott Lions! Head north for fishing from 12:30 – 3:30 PM.
Lake HolcombeĀ Lions Ice Fishing Contest
Head up to northern Chippewa County for the Lake Holcombe Lions Ice Fishing Contest! Happening Saturday, February 18 from 12:00 – 3:00 PM at Phat Bob’s. Enjoy an afternoon of fishing on the Holcombe Flowage with the chance to win cash prizes!! First prize is $1,000!
