Ice skating makes the winter season so magical! With plenty of area ice skating rinks, there are plenty of opportunities to skate or to play hockey to make this cold season outdoors more fun. Below is our area ice rink guide with amenities and locations for each of the public ice rinks in the area!
Chippewa Area Ice Arena Outdoor Rink – 839 1st Ave, Chippewa Falls
The Chippewa Area Ice Arena is home to a covered outdoor ice rink on the Northeast side of the building. This ice rink is intended for hockey or recreational skating.
Bloomer Skating Rink – 1304 Grove St, Bloomer
Come enjoy the beautiful snow hill located on the back side of the Bloomer Golf Course on Grove St. There are two ice skating rinks to come enjoy, one for leisure and one intended for hockey. The warming house located on the corner of 13th Avenue and Grove St. offers a spot to warm up and does have skates that can be used and returned.
Cornell Ice Rink – 51 Bridge St (WI-64), Cornell
Grab your skates and come on down to the Cornell Ice Rink for some winter fun! Our skating rink is open daily from 7:00 am until 10:00 pm. The ice rink is located inside Mill Yard Park Pavilion. There is a warming house nearby and skates are not provided so please bring your own.
Lafayette Ice Rink – Near Village Hall at 5765 197th Street, Chippewa
Located by the Sports Complex. Open all hours with additional lighting from 5:30-9:30, which includes a warming house. There are unscheduled Bonfires, but will cater to upon request. Provide your own equipment to ice skate.
