Debuting Saturday, Jan. 18, the once a year family ice fishing contest at Otter Lake will see the Otter Lake Booster Club team up with the Stanley Rod and Gun Club to host an ice fishing contest.
Registration for a kid’s ice fishing contest starts at 9:30 am and the adult competition kicks off at 10 am. Adults must complete the registration form for the kid fishing.
For adults, the fishing contest will compete for blue gill, crappie, walleye, northern, bass and perch. Fishing contest are cash prizes for the large fish, a 50/50 raffle and more than $5000 in raffle prizes. Grand prize this year is a Weatherby Camp spike .308 with prizes including gun, crossbow and attendance prizes.
All kids fishing is open to kids 15 years and younger with categories including blue gill, crappies and perch with two age classes.
A warming tent for the fishing contest will be provided courtesy of Citizens State Bank.
