Tom Lawin Wildlife Area is a 2,282-acre spot just 2 miles southeast of Jim Falls in central Chippewa County. It’s a mix of grasslands, wetlands, and woods, which makes it great habitat for all kinds of wildlife. You’ll find waterfowl, pheasants, deer, turkey, and furbearers here, plus grassland birds like bobolinks, meadowlarks, and sedge wrens. The wetlands and grassy areas are also home to Blanding’s turtles.
