Chippewa Valley Bee Expo
The Chippewa Valley Bee Expo, a new annual family event dedicated to educating members of the community about pollinators and natural living practices.
Demonstrations and presentations will be held throughout the day on a wide range of topics focused on sustainability, encouraging pollinators, and using the products produced by honeybees. Youth events will also be a big part of the Expo, and more than 40 vendors will have booths at the event, many with games and giveaways.
“We’re excited to have the state Honey Queen as part of our annual Expo,” said Galen Klisiewicz, president of the non-profit Chippewa Valley Bee Expo organization. “She’s the top promoter of the beekeeping industry in Wisconsin, so it’s natural she would want to be involved in this new event that is all about educating members of our communities about natural living practices and sustainability.”
Presentations and seminars will be held throughout the Saturday and Sunday, highlighting topics from developing natural products derived from keeping bees and creating a pollinator-friendly garden, to beginning beekeeping and cooking with honey. The Expo will also feature more than 40 exhibitors, many of whom will give demonstrations at their booths throughout the day. The event will also include youth programs, food trucks, and raffles.
Tickets for the Chippewa Valley Bee Expo can be purchased in advance through Volume One Ticketing and at the gate on the day of the event. Tickets are $15, with youth 10 and under free.
