The Wayward Players take us back to the 1890s and the fictional logging town of Pine Falls, Wisconsin to play a spirited game of Show and Tell at the Sawdust Saloon. Led by bartender Bob and barmaids Dixie & Trixie, the evening is filled with fun and frolic. That is–until contestants begin disappearing! When foul play is suspected, Pine County Sheriff Peters takes charge and launches a full investigation. Since the saloon’s clientele is made up of the quirkiest characters on the Pine River, the songs and comedy continue unabated. Town folk, farmers, loggers and “strangers just passing through” are questioned as potential suspects in the mystery. The action is buoyed up by a strong current of tuneful melodies and spirited singing.
