Join the Heyde Center’s immersive rosemaling workshop where you’ll dive deep into the art of decorative painting. This class is designed to explore the rich history, regional techniques (Telemark, Gubransdahl, and Rogaland), and unique styles that make rosemaling a captivating folk-art form. Students must purchase their own painting surface, but the instructor does have access to many excellent traditional wood surfaces (prices will depend on the pieces selected). Other supplies are included. Students will begin generating original designs for painting with an emphasis on traditional Telemark designs. Teacher-generated designs will be available to paint in class.
